Web Design Guidelines for the New Website Owner

When you set out to make a website for yourself, you obviously want to use tools that will make the job easier, like WYSIWYG editors and Sitegrinder. More people can converge on their design as execution has become easier. Many sites currently are managed with the same tools; there are many Sitegrinder and WYSIWYG software users all over the world, but what will set your website apart from theirs is your knowledge of design principles. • Do use fonts that are clear and legible, don’t use fonts that you just downloaded off a fonts website and felt would be cool to use on your own website. Using the wrong kind of font, the wrong size of fonts, and the wrong font color is persuaded to drive the largest part if not all of your website’s visitors away.
• Assembling a navigation menu that runs. Keep it as simple as possible, label it with words that are commonly used in navigational menus, and keep it in the same place in the entire subpages of your website. Besides, if you had to look for the “home” button consistently you went to a different page, you’d be annoyed to.
• Putting and inserting your favorite song on the website. There are some websites that work well with music, particularly flash sites, but most flash sites have an obvious play, pause, and stop buttons; this gives people the option to discontinue the music if they want to. ust embedding music on the web page is an awful idea and your viewers may interpret this as a trouble on their browsing.  f you persist on embedding your own music in your website, the slightest you can do is attach controls on your page to permit your viewers turn the music off; most visitors wouldn’t disturb spotting for the controls, though.
• Keep your website clutter-free by organizing advertisements in an orderly way. It’s appropriate for you to have advertisements on your website; it’s a good way to generate some income to keep the website up and running. It just becomes excessive if it hampers with your visitors as they find their way on all sides of your website; some would perhaps even find this spammy and might just exit the browser and not revisit to your site again.
• Keep your background characterless and minimal. Animated gifs shouldn’t be used as surfaced backgrounds for the simple reason that it’s annoying and it’s hard on the eyes. Keep your background in the background instead of permitting it conquest your entire website.

Its standard to experience excited about putting up your website, and it’s also normal to make a few mistakes when you’re starting out. If you are considerate to your readers and continually worry about their experience when they search your website, chances are it will show on your design attitude. How much campaign would you consider too much? Odds are, websites that get great reviews are easy on the eyes and has user-friendly features. If you keep this in mind, you’ll be able to launch a site that looks magnificent and is something people will keep on visiting.
